CWMRYN EVEN MAWR (Tune: "Cwmryn Mawr" by Rhodri James) There is a city in the forest Surrounded by the dwellings of the elves We were the people of that city And lived there mostly keeping to ourselves Until the elves went nuts And removed most of our guts Left us lying in our huts In Cwmryn Mawr. We'd not done nothing to offend them Our innocence was plain for all to see As near as we can think what happened We died because some loony hit a tree This doesn't seem quite fair We don't think we've had a share But does anybody care For Cwmryn Mawr? Oh yes, they sing the song each day In elven voices clear and bright. This seems to us the perfect way For them to make it all all right. A choir of elves is really just the thing we need We're very pleased indeed... That's how the elves destroyed our city And left it to the spirits of the dead Although their grieving's very pretty We think we'd rather have revenge instead So we'll desert our post And confront them elf to ghost And by dawn they'll all be toast In Cwmryn Mawr.
